I have been using Kdenlive for several months and produced a number of videos without any problems. Now all the transitions have gone.
I am using version 0.7.6 on Mandriva free 2010.
I have re-installed Kdenlive twice and re-installed Mandriva but still no transitions.
What has happened and how do I get them back?

Did you upgrade KDE recently?

Check the permissions of /dev/raw1394 or /dev/dv1394, possisible the owner and group is root. change the group to video or do a chmod 666 /dev/raw1394.
You can change the permissions inthe udev configuration file, in opensuse its /lib/udev/rules.d/50-udev-default.rules

No, I have not done anything. I have just re-installed to try and fix it.
A new problem has now arrived. The program will not now connect to my camcorder via Firewire, which it did previously!
