Hi,
I am trying to make an animation from about 200 still images. I am able to load all 200 images into the KDEnlive project tree. However, KDEnlive loads each image as a 5-second asset by default to a .3 asset by default.
In other words, think back to the most basic animation: a series of cartoons draw onto a blank book. As you flip the pages, the animation appears to move. We have the drawings; we have loaded the drawings into KDEnlive; now we just need to reduce the time that each image spends on screen from 5 seconds down to .3 seconds.
Also, I have had trouble find my postings on this forum. Is there a way for me to set this forum to email me when there is a response to this thread?
Thanks in advance.
You give me a chance to tell you one of the absolute coolest features of kdenlive. It is an complete livesaver.
Put all the clips into a single folder, preferably numbered in the right order.
Right click on the Project Tree, and "Add new Slideshow Clip".
Select the folder first. With so many pics, it may take a while to respond again while it brings them in.
Now, select the transition type you want, and the duration. It will show the images below to sort them if necessary, I believe.
Drop the slideshow clip into the timeline, and you are done. Dead simple, and it saves a ton of times for slideshows. I remember the hours I used to spend in Premiere dropping the images in, adding the transitions, and setting the transitions to the right direction (I once had half of them wrong - lost a two hour compile back in the 6.5 days). Now, it couldn't be simpler.
As a side note: Setting: Configure Kdenlive: Misc - change the image clips default duration there.
