Create DVD menu + submenu

I lack the opportunity to make a submenu, when I create a DVD in Kdenlive.

Is that a complicated feature to code?

What programming language is used for Kdenlive? I have some programming experience, but it is years back, and mostly in Java and Delphi/Pascal.
