I can wait forever, it won't render.

I don't know what's the reason, but if I want to render a video, I have to wait - forever. It doesn't matter what I'll choose as an output...
The only things in the project tree are a .mkv-video and a mp3-track!

I use Kdenlive 0.7.5 and Ubuntu 9.04...

How long is your video? and what effects are you using?

I didn't use any effects at all, the project is 22 seconds long.

that's defiantly wrong or the museum needs its computer exhibit back...

You said a mkv and a mp3 are in the Project Tree, but you did not say that you added them to the timeline. You must add something to the timeline.
