'Insert Mode' always greyed out (r. 4305)

Hi,

I managed to compile the latest 0.7.7r.4305 from SVN and it is very stable.

Now I wonder why the button 'Insert Mode' is greyed out. Is this functionality not
yet ready or is there a way to test it? It would be a great benefit for I-O-P editing.

I think it is not yet implemented. The button was added along with overwrite mode.
