Hi..
I am using latest version from svn.. But couldn't find New color balance effect..
Can anybody tell me what am i missing while compiling or other stages of installation?
I am using ubuntu studio 8.10 64 bit.. and compiled kdenlive from svn..
You'll need to compile a recent git of the Frei0r plugins, the color balance effect has just been added. Daily snapshots are available from the frei0r website.
Edit : I've just seen that the new version of the build wizard can now checkout and compile the Frei0r plugins.
I tried a fresh compile of Kdenlive using the wizard and now I don't have any of the Frei0r plugins. Strange, maybe a bug ? I'll see if I can get it to work...
The Wizard "should work". I have not had any feedback suggesting the opposite :-)
Obviously it could still be quite buggy. Let me know what you find out.

My problem doesn't seem to come from the wizard. I tried compiling and installing everything manually with no more success...
If you care to, please try a clean build with the wizard from and into /tmp or similar. Then (make sure gdb is installed) run "kdenlive_start -g", then mail me both logs if you still do not have frei0r support.

feedback :
yesterday I have compiled latest frei0r plugins from git and MLT(rev1401) and Kdenlive(rev3292) from svn and it worked fine under a clean install of ubuntu 9.04 64bits. I am able to see and use frei0r plugins. The brand new Balanc0r effect done by Dan Dennedy for color correction is named "White Balance" in kdenlive.
After some effort (ffmpeg not compiling then MLT not compiling, which was solved by disabling sox support...) the wizard now works fine and I have all the last Frei0r plugins in Kdenlive, in Ubuntu 9.04.
Hmm, I'm in a bit of trouble with frei0r. I'm trying to use kdenlive and mlt from debian-multimedia.org and frei0r-plugins from Debian.
Having frei0r-plugins installed and mltfrei0r enabled in mlt (which is the default in mlt package now) results in kdenlive crashing at startup:
www.kdenlive.org/mantis/view.php?id=545
Now, I tried getting the balance effect to work by building frei0r from git and mlt and kdenlive from svn, and using the existing packaging for them. frei0r-plugins and -dev packages bring libraries to /usr/lib/frei0r-1 and header to /usr/include/frei0r.h, and balanc0r exists too.
mlt frei0r configure finds the header and enables it, but the startup problem comes back. Dang, back to square one.
Any ideas what to try next?
