For information, each time I post on Le Repaire (a place for French film makers), people come with the same question: when will you support colour correction.
Example: http://www.repaire.net/forums/monde-linux/205436-kdenlive-0-7-5-disponible.html#post1969885158 [^]
Afaik there are many different kinds of color correction (HSV, saduration, color curves like in Gimp), ...
What exactly do you mean?
I have posted a bug report about it too, and I mentioned it on my KDEnLive review too: http://osne.ws/gt5 [^]
Without good color grading/correction plugins, you can't create nothing more than just some family videos. I am into somewhat-artistic videography personally, so color grading is a *must*.

Eugenia, I read you report here: http://www.osnews.com/story/21785/KDEnLive_Most_Promising_But_Not_Quite_There_Yet [^]
The best way to get features done is to list them in the bug tracker as individual requests for future versions. On entry for each feature.
This will allow individual developpers to pick-up issues and close them when done.
Bye, the way, in your article, you could mention what Kdenlive does and closed software propose in professional versions. We don't look at other sofwares when designing Kdenlive, so it is of no help to write "Have a look at this". Describe in details what you would like in each ticket.
I have already done a number of bug reports last year about color correction, have a look in my bug history.
As for not looking to other editors, this is a major mistake of yours. Without yourself having used 3-4 major video editors, see how they do things, and then improve on them, you can't just re-invent the wheel and expect to to get it right. No one's getting it right just like that. Sorry, but that's the truth.
|Other reports exist on the subject (and color correction is getting quite good !)|
