|Summary||0001178: FR: focus section/widget by shortcut|
I just like to suggest one more usability enhancement:
Actually, to change the focus between clip and project monitor - I have separated both (one on the left side and the other at the right side) - I have to click the widget by the mouse, but then the playback starts which I don't want...
Is there another way to achieve this, without starting playback that I didn't noticed?
If no, then I would be nice if you could give us the option to assign shortcuts for that.

|Build/Install Method||Build Wizard|
|I just changed the behaviour (svn rev. 3985), so that clicking on an inactive monitor just activates it, and clicking in the active monitor starts playing, that should be what you need I think|
yes, thanks, I can also work this way.
But I'd love to have a way to do this by shortcuts, for whatever widget I need e.g. the effect tab, sometimes in the future... ;)
Just to give another description of how I could imagine to work adding an effect:
- drop an clip onto the timeline ( actually only possible using d&d ;) ).
- activate (bring on top) the effect tab via shortcut (0001178).
- just type some characters ( if 0001177 would be realized ;) ), e.g. 'free' to separate the 'freeze' effect, to start the search engine .
- and finally just hit 'enter' the apply the effect to the alredy selected clip on timeline.
This would be nearly the same workflow when using the gnome-control-center e.g., because the search box is also focused when the app is startet and the user just has to type in some characters to reduce the shown sections and finally just hit 'enter' to start the first entry of the list, or selecting one using the arrow keys...
