|Platform||Linux||OS||Ubuntu (GNOME)||OS Version||9.10|
|Target Version||Fixed in Version||0.7.7|
|Summary||0001357: Playback monitor freezes a few seconds in.|
|Description||1. Check for multiple versions of mlt. I looked in synaptic. I have a few mlt packages but they seem to be dependencies of mlt. Not sure which, if any, to remove.|
2. Play in ffmpeg. Video plays fine.
3. Play in Melt. Same issue that I have with kdenlive. Freezes a few seconds in.
4. Download test package and play in melt. Same issue as the playback monitor and melt.
So, the playback monitor freezes up. Then it starts maxing out my second core. In kdenlive, it sometimes crashes. Other times, it will let me quit but I can't use the program but kdenlive is still running and I have to kill it via System Monitor.
With melt, I always have to kill it.
|Steps To Reproduce||n/a happens immediately on playback.|
|Additional Information||built from the ppa/repository.|

|SOLVED. I did not see a similar bug report until I submitted this. Remove libsdl1.2debian-alsa and put in libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio|
|Incompatible SDL audio backend or bug in PulseAudio ALSA plugin.|
