Summary0001703: crashes on opening clip
DescriptionI have tried multiple clips of multiple file types. Kdenlive crashed with an illegal instruction every time. The kdenlive revision is 4615.
Steps To Reproduce1: Start kdenlive.
2: Select add clip from either the menu or the button over the project pane.
3: Choose a DV file.
TagsNo tags attached.

Sorry about the duplicate. I thought Mantis rejected my first post, because I didn't add ".txt" to the crash dump filename.

This is probably a problem in your MLT install.

Can you post the result of:

melt -query producers

An also try playing a clip with MLT's command line player:

melt myclip.dv

I don't have an executable called "melt", but one called "mlt-melt". I have the mlt and mlt-devel packages version 0.5.4-1.fc13 installed.

Should I make a "melt" symlink to "mlt-melt"?

After trying a bunch of different formats, I got it to load ntsc-dvd MPEG's output by ffmpeg. I prefer to work directly with DV files to avoid compression artifacts until I finally compress the finished video.
