Summary0002993: Little lag during playback (in Project monitor) everytime there is a clip change
DescriptionHello everyone,

I am experiencing an annoying bug in kdenlive. Every time I want to play a video in the Project Monitor, there is a little lag when a clip changes. I tried with different videos (even proxy clips) and it always happens. The rendered video does not contain this lags but it makes it complicated to work with it.

Thank you in advance
Additional InformationI attach a video showing the problem.

I found that this event occurs when the second clip does not start from the beginning (that is, a different zone of it has been selected).

i also have a lag (even editing proxy files). this happens everytime i stop, play or move the mouse around to a position in the timeline.

horrible bug that disrupts productivity!

I found that if I transcode the video the problem disappears, so it must be a problem with the source video, I guess. Any ideas?

After speaking with MLT developers, I found a command that sorts it out without transcoding:

melt file.kdenlive -consumer sdl rescale=bilinear

How can this be set in kdenlive?

Thank you in advance

SDL output has been dropped with Movit inclusion. If "rescale" was not the culprit then the problem is linked with OpenGL...
I just forwarded recent changes excluding GL stuff in a branch ("next", sorry for confusing name), if you are ready to compile this may be a (temporary?) solution.
