Summary0003160: Backups do not exist unless project has been saved once
DescriptionThis is a usability issue report.

The backup / auto-recovery system is excellent and saved me a lot of grey hair. Unfortunately, I sometimes fail it, because I get excited working on a project, so I do not think of creating the first save file. Then it crashes and all is lost.

I got spoiled by Inkscape's and Audacity's automatic backup feature, which do not require you do save before it kicks in.

With crashes being extremely common (at least that is my experience), the user experience varies vastly between a user with the behavior of saving a project right after starting it and a user with the behavior of not thinking about saving their project. This should either be avoided by
1. Implement and enable backups even when no save file exists
2. Force a (temporary) save right after starting kdenlive, so that the auto recovery feature gets enabled
3. Clearly indicate in the user interface that the user experience varies as long as a save file does not exist. I would suggest a warning color text in the notification, which says "Warning: automatic backup recovery is only available after you saved your project at least once" after the user has taken an action that makes the current project differ from 'raw' kdenlive start. (In my humble opinion this is the least desirable solution)
Steps To Reproduce1. Start Kdenlive
2. Get excited about your project and start working without saving your project
3. Trigger a bug that crashes Kdenlive on your system
4. Go to the Kdenlive bug tracker and report the issue, trying to justify that it's a usability and not a user issue
