|Summary||0003184: Trigger stabilization job from timeline|
|Description||Stabilization is not considered as a plugin and as an external job. As this feature doesn't have the flexibility of a plugin, you have to apply the stabilization beforehand, from the project tree, before playing with it in the timeline.|
I propose to have a way to produce a stabilized version of a trimmed clip from the timeline.
What can happen is the following:
1 - I have an already edited timeline, with lots of unstabilized, trimmed clips.
2 - I've identified a clip I want to stabilize in the timeline.
3 - From the timeline, I right-clic on it, and order Kdenlive to stabilize it.
4 - Now Kdenlive starts a new stabilization job, which only concerns the range of the original video that is visible in the timeline.
5 - Kdenlive finish the stabilization job, add a new stabilized video in the project tree, then replace the original clip in the timeline by its stabilized version, all automatically..
This will also makes stabilization faster as Kdenlive will not have to stabilize a whole clip.
