Summary0000902: Directory structure of projects, standard directories
DescriptionAt the moment I've set the standard project directory to
/data/video/

Now I have multiple projects in subfolders of /data/video, like:
/data/video/HelloWorld/
/data/video/ACPR/
/data/video/Tomorrow/

Each of this project folders contain the .kdenlive file, the titles/, thumbs/ and ladspa/ directories and a folder containing all clips belonging to this project (so that I can just copy the whole project folder to a stick or so and open it somewhere else).

At the moment however, kdenlive assumes that _all_ project files are saved in
/data/video/
and all titles in
/data/video/titles/
and all thumbs (.thumb and .png) are stored in
/data/video/thumbs/

In my opinion that is wrong. Shouldn't every kdenlive project have its own directory? This will create a huge mess as soon as you're working with more than one project. Like .kdenlivetitle files of different projects in the titles/ folder.

So … Something has to be changed. In my opinion every project should also have its own directory.

The Standard Project Directory which is currently set in the kdenlive preferences should perhaps only be used as standard directory for file dialogues when there is no better directory available.

For each project it will be best to just take the directory where the .kdenlive file is saved in. I think this was also handled like that some time ago.

when creating a new project, you can choose its own project directory

file dialogs already use a set of standard directories
