Binary packages

The Kdenlive team does not provide binary packages for your your distribution. Package management is usually left to the distributions. Here you will find instructions on the easiest way to install Kdenlive for you:

Debian, Fedora, Gentoo, Mandriva, OpenSUSE, Slackware, Ubuntu	FreeBSD ports	MacPorts for Mac OS X

Installing from source

Stable release

Kdenlive latest stable release can be downloaded from our SourceForge page.

Development version

Want to have the newest kdenlive version, directly from development? Then this one is for you. Read the installing from source manual to learn how to get it.

Please be aware that installing Kdenlive from source code requires a basic knowledge about compilation.
