Kdenlive Meets Studio Dave Over the past few months I've been drifting into the world of Linux video applications and development. I've already written a review of the LiVES video editor, and I've made occasional reference to the Kino editor. Recently a reader asked if I'd tried a recent version of Kdenlive. I started looking into it and I liked what I saw. The following article is an account of my continuing experience with the latest codebase from the project. |

Kdenlive 0.7.5 Review - The perfect tool to shape up your home videos for free Everyone agrees that it's impossible to shoot video perfectly on the first try. Even birthday videos or amateur productions can use the kind of touch-ups that a video editor has to offer, like titles or transitions. The truth is that the open-source world lacked a proper non-linear video editor with similar features to the ones found on other proprietary platforms for a long time. This aspect is certainly changing, and one of the applications that come with that change is Kdenlive. |

Kdenlive: A Video Editor in the Spotlight Linux distributions strive to include all the useful applications that users will need, but a quality video editor has been lacking for quite some time. Now with KDE4 getting better and better, could an application like Kdenlive fill that gap? |

KDEnLive: Most Promising, But Not Quite There Yet KDEnLive 0.7.5 was released a few days ago, so I installed it on my Ubuntu machine to see how the app has been progressed since the last time I tried it. KDEnLive is the most actively developed, and easiest to use Linux video editor. Its UI resembles Sony Vegas in many ways; if you know how to use Vegas, you won't have trouble with KDEnLive. |

Editing Videos With Kdenlive For many years, editing digital video in Linux was not an easy task. Linux users have long sought a nonlinear video editing solution that was both powerful and easy to use. Kdenlive is the first video editor for KDE to combine both of these critical aspects into one package (...) |
