Fairly new to Kdenlive, not sure if it is the right place. Anyway..
Here is the situation : we developed a plugin for Cinelerra that I'd be glad to be ported to Kdenlive if a coder feels like it (I am not a coder)
What it does : gets some Tiff files in 16 bits /pixels from negative film scans and computes the reversal picture.
I have been experiencing segfault every time, when I try to play in the built-in editor the part of video with this effect turned on. I use Linux Mint 13 Maya on 32-bit Intel processor, kdenlive v 0.9.6(latest from sunab ppa). I looked up this problem, a few bug reports like this one: http://www.kdenlive.org/mantis/view.php?id=2888 , but it says, that issues were fixed in 0.9.4. How do I work this out?
how can I prevent that a 640x360 (360p) screen recording video (mpeg4) becomes blurred in a 720p (1280x720) project that is rendered to 640x360? - I need 720p videos (no screen recordings) in the timeline for some effects (crop, zoom, ..).

So I have pixelated faces out of a project, at points frame by frame adjustment was neccesary as obviously the motion tracking is not perfect.
Everything looks tidy in the project monitor but not in the rendered videos where the square moves differently and occasionaly doesn't cover things.
More strangely the pixels do different things depending on the render format, h.264 has slighlty different result than HDV and 2 passing gives diferent result again.
