I've tried to make a chroma key using a green screen and a photocamera (I don't have a video camera, this is the possible first problem).
The screen is uniform ad flash green, the light was quite good but, the final results is full of, I don't know how to decribe, but seems as video glitch.
Every border are really not sharp. I've tried a lot of setting with variance and I've also combined more than one chroma key.
Some of you have ever used kdenlive with chroma key?
Have you achieved good results?
I'm using the latest kdenlive package and associated mlt, frei0r from sunab's svn repo, on Kubuntu 12.10.
What I want to achieve with kdenlive is this: a sequence of short clips is playing inside a fake polaroid image. This whole animated polaroid should then coming flying in and rotating at the same time until it reaches the center of the canvas where it sits still, but the animated minature clips in the polaroid still play.
My first attempt was to create the static polaroid containing the playing clips as a separate kdenlive project, say PolProj.
I use kdenlive 0.9.6-0ubuntu0~sunab~precise1 and melt 0.8.8-0ubuntu0~sunab~precise1. Sometimes dissolve doesn't work at the end. Maybe it is a question of the source material. It looks like HD 1080p work, but old DV-material from 4:3 and 16:9 with 720x576 doesn't.
