Pre-compiled packages

When downloading packages, make sure to install Kdenlive 0.7.6 and mlt video engine 0.4.6. To benefit from a full translation into your language, you will also need kde-i18n packages for your language.

Special message for package maintainers: Kdenlive 0.7.5 and previous versions are deprecated. Please upgrade to Kdenlive 0.7.6, which relies on MLT 0.4.6 and therefore is much more precise. We will not answer bug reports for Kdenlive 0.7.4 and previous versions.

Whenever you install packages, make sure to uninstall any previous installation using the Builder wizard.

I installed 0.7.6 from the binary package following the instructions on the website.

Note that there are a couple of errors in the website instructions. menu should be system -> Administration -> Software Sources

Tab in Software Sources is Other Software and not 3rd party software.

thank you so much! you saved me so much time and efforts! besides I didn't know one should use Builder wizard (maybe that's why I had some problems with that). on my part I'd like to suggest the best mp3 search enjoy!

I had some problems with the Ubuntu packages and I have reported to the kden live forums. Waiting for some replies.
